Abstract

This article presents a literature review on the importance of storage of bananas (Musa acuminata) cultivated under the conditions of our republic within the agro-industrial complex. Bananas are characterized by high nutritional value and high perishability; therefore, the implementation of proper storage technologies ensures product quality and marketability. The study examines modern methods of banana storage, the potential use of their biological and chemical composition, as well as physiological and biochemical changes occurring during storage, ripening control, and storage duration.
