Abstract

This article presents the results of studies conducted in 2022–2024 under the conditions of the Tashkent Experimental Station of the Research Institute of Vegetable, Melon Crops and Potato. The research focused on seed yield and essential oil content of cumin (Cuminum cyminum L.) varieties and included 13 variety samples. Seed yield ranged from 360 to 455 kg/ha, while essential oil content varied between 3.0 and 3.7%. According to the results, the Ch-1 and In-1 varieties were distinguished by their high seed productivity and oil accumulation capacity. The Pt- 1 and Sd-1 varieties were identified as having a high proportion of the cuminaldehyde fraction in their essential oil composition.
