Abstract
The influence of different sowing dates on the growth, development, and yield of kale cabbage (Brassica oleracea var. sabellica) was studied as a result of conducted research. The experiments were carried out during 2023–2025 at the experimental field of the Research Institute of Vegetable, Melon Crops and Potato Growing under the conditions of the Tashkent region. Two kale cultivars, “Zhuravushka” and “Oliver”, were used as research objects.
The results showed that sowing dates significantly affected the phenological development, morphological characteristics (stem height, number of leaves, and leaf weight), and yield of the plants. The highest growth and yield indicators were observed when sowing was conducted in the second decade of March (March 10). The obtained results have scientific and practical importance for determining the optimal sowing dates for kale cultivation under the conditions of the Tashkent region.
