Abstract

This study focuses on the isolation of antagonistic fungi from medicinal plants, the investigation of their biological characteristics, and the evaluation of their potential application against phytopathogenic microorganisms. Antagonistic fungal strains were isolated from medicinal plants growing under local conditions, and their phenotypic and biological properties were examined. The antagonistic activity of Trichoderma harzianum and Trichoderma viride against major phytopathogens, including Fusarium, Alternaria, Rhizoctonia and Phytophthora, was assessed. The findings provide a scientific basis for the development of environmentally friendly biopreparations and the implementation of sustainable biological protection strategies for medicinal plants against diseases.
