Abstract
This article analyzes the impact of the two-spotted spider mite (Tetranychus urticae) pest on the growth, development, and yield parameters of repeatedly cultivated red bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) under the agro-climatic conditions of Denov district, Surkhandarya region. During the study, the negative effects of the pest on leaf blade condition, stem development, flowering dynamics, pod formation, and final yield were observed. Infestation by the spider mite resulted in a decrease in chlorophyll content in leaves, a reduction in photosynthetic intensity, disruption of transpiration processes, and a slowdown in plant biomass accumulation. The effectiveness of the acaricidal preparation Aikido 5% and the insecticidal preparation Mebracy 20% (acetamiprid) against the pest was evaluated in the study. Chemical treatment led to positive changes in the functioning of vegetative and generative organs of the plant, resulting in a significant increase in yield indicators compared to the control treatment. The obtained results have scientific and practical significance for the development of integrated protection measures against spider mite infestation in red bean crops.
