Abstract

This article examines the bioecological characteristics of the quarantine pest Pseudococcus comstocki Kuw. (Comstock mealybug), including its distribution, developmental biology, and harmful effects in fruit orchards. The biological efficacy of several insecticides against this pest was also evaluated. The results demonstrated that Confidor and Mospilan showed high effectiveness in reducing pest populations and can be recommended for practical use in integrated pest management programs for fruit crops.
