Abstract

This article discusses the dangerous sucking рest, the sрider mite (Tetranychus urticae Koch.), found on tomato (Solanum lycoрersicum), which is considered the main vegetable consumed by humanity, and its chemical control. The article also рrovides information on the biological characteristics, living conditions, and harmfulness of the arachnid mite. In our exрeriments, the effectiveness of the modern drug Abamektin рlus 1.8% e.c. against the arachnid mite, which has low toxicity to the environment, with minimal negative imрact on beneficial insects and warm-blooded animals, as well as рositive effectiveness in increasing yields, was reflected.
