Abstract
This article investigates the effects of amaranth planting dates and the number of seedlings on the uptake of nutrients from the soil. According to the experimental results, early planting (March 15) with 66.6 thousand seedlings per hectare led to efficient uptake of mineral nutrients from the soil, preventing soil pollution. When planting was delayed (April 15) with 47.6 thousand seedlings, the levels of mobile nutrients in the soil—nitrate nitrogen at 0.60, mobile phosphorus at 1.1, and exchangeable potassium at 11.0 mg/kg—were shown to be higher.
