Abstract

The article investigates the effectiveness of the sterilization stage in the in vitro propagation of grapevine rootstocks and scions. The experiment examines the influence of various concentrations of sodium hypochlorite (NaOCl) and exposure times on the viability of "Cabernet Franc" and "Saperavi" varieties, as well as "Cober BB 5" and "SO4" rootstocks. Based on the research results, optimal sterilization regimes that minimize explant contamination and ensure high bud survival rates (up to 71–77%) are scientifically substantiated.
