Abstract
The phytosanitary status of plants belonging to the genus Sambucus was investigated in this study. Aphids (Aphis sambuci), spider mites (Epitrimerus trilobus), and leaf-chewing insects (Helicoverpa armigera, Spodoptera exigua, Agrotis segetum) were found to be widely distributed, causing damage to leaves and stems and disrupting photosynthesis and growth processes. An integrated approach combining agronomic practices, biological control using entomophagous insects, and chemical treatments was found to be effective in managing these pests.
