Abstract

This article provides a comprehensive analysis of the main challenges in the design and planning of earthworks. Particular attention is given to issues such as the insufficient accuracy of geodetic data, inadequate investigation of soil physical and mechanical properties, inefficiencies in technological processes, and the neglect of environmental factors. Furthermore, the paper proposes solutions based on the implementation of modern digital technologies (GIS, BIM), advanced modeling methods, and automated design systems.
