Abstract

This article analyzes the dynamics of soil organic carbon under climate change conditions, as well as the main natural and anthropogenic factors affecting it, from a scientific perspective. The study examines the patterns of changes in soil carbon stocks, especially in arid regions, including the Syrdarya region. It has been established that as a result of rising temperatures, violations of humidity regimes, and agricultural activities, the decomposition of organic substances accelerates, leading to a decrease in soil fertility. At the same time, resource-saving agrotechnologies, including mulching, no-till, and crop rotation, have been substantiated as effective methods for preserving and increasing soil organic carbon. The research results are of great scientific and practical importance for preventing soil degradation and ensuring the sustainable use of land resources under climate change conditions.
