Abstract

This article analyzes changes in the structure of the land fund of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the trend of reduction of agricultural land on a scientific basis. In the course of the research, the distribution of the land fund by categories, the quantitative and qualitative state of agricultural land, as well as the dynamics of their change for 2010–2025 were studied based on statistical data. According to the results of the research, it was found that the reduction of agricultural land is mainly associated with urbanization processes, industrial and infrastructure development, and the transfer of land to other categories. The need for effective use of land resources, their protection, and management of land category change processes through digitalization is also substantiated.
