Abstract
This article studies the bioecological properties of the medicinal plant Momordica charantia L. and the patterns of accumulation of biologically active substances in different environmental conditions. The vegetative and generative organs of the plant were selected as the object of research, and the influence of environmental factors was analyzed based on samples grown in the Botanical Garden and the city of Almalyk. As a result of phytochemical analysis, the presence of flavonoids, alkaloids, saponins, glycosides and phenolic compounds was determined in the plant raw material. Significant changes in the amount of biologically active substances were noted depending on the vegetation stages of the plant and environmental conditions. Under conditions of environmental stress, an increase in the synthesis of some secondary metabolites was detected, which was explained by the adaptive defense mechanisms of the plant. The results obtained substantiate the importance of Momordica charantia L. as a medicinal raw material and made it possible to determine the most favorable ecological conditions and vegetation stages for its cultivation and collection.
