Abstract
In recent years, due to the steady growth of the world’s population, ensuring food security has become one of the most pressing global challenges. This requires not only expanding the volume of agricultural production but also improving its efficiency. At present, increasing attention is being paid to strengthening scientific research aimed at boosting food production and improving crop yields. In particular, priority tasks include the introduction of modern agrotechnologies, the development of high-yielding and disease-resistant varieties, and the design and implementation of optimal agrotechnical practices.
This article examines the effect of sowing dates and planting schemes on the yield of chickpea varieties under irrigated conditions of the Kashkadarya region in southern Uzbekistan. Based on the research results, optimal sowing dates and planting schemes were identified, and relevant scientific conclusions were drawn.
