Abstract
This article examines the effect of seeding rates and mineral fertilizer doses on the main biometric characteristics of winter rye spikes. During the study, plant growth and development, as well as the formation of yield components under different seeding rates and fertilizer levels, were analyzed. The results showed that the optimal seeding rate ensures efficient use of the plant nutrition area, which positively affects spike length, number of grains, and grain weight. The scientifically based application of mineral fertilizers improves plant nutrition and contributes to higher yields. Based on the findings, practical recommendations for optimizing agrotechnical practices in winter rye cultivation were developed.
