Abstract
This article presents a scientific analysis of the multifaceted importance of plants belonging to the genus Indigofera in the national economy. The study examines the role of the plant in the textile industry as a source of natural dye (indigo), its effectiveness as a high-protein feed resource in livestock production, its biologically active properties in medicine and pharmaceuticals, and its contribution to improving soil fertility in agriculture. The results obtained demonstrate the economic and environmental advantages of introducing Indigofera species and cultivating them on an industrial scale. The authors believe that the practical findings presented in this study will be equally valuable for both industry specialists and decision-makers.
