Abstract
This article presents information on the distribution and bioecology of one of the main pests of melon crops—the melon fly Carpomya pardalina Bigot— in the conditions of the Qashqadaryo region, as well as the occurrence of representatives of the order of dipterans in fields sown with melon, watermelon, and pumpkin varieties in the conditions of the Qashqadaryo region, where pests such as the melon fly (M.pardalina), sponge fly (L.bryoniae), cabbage fly (D.floralis), black fly (M.domestica), true mosquito (C.pipiens), fruit fly (D.melanogaster), and mosquito fly (S.pyrastri) were encountered.
