Abstract
Willow plantations play an important role in maintaining ecological stability, reducing soil erosion, and conserving water resources. In recent years, pest control in forest biocenoses of the republic has mainly relied on chemical methods, since nearly ten pest species occurring in forest ecosystems cause significant economic damage during the growing season. However, the mass rearing of beneficial entomophagous species in biological laboratories for the implementation of biological control against these pests has not yet been established. The results of this study provide a scientific basis for identifying parasitic and predatory entomophagous species occurring in willow biocenoses of Uzbekistan, conducting their systematic analysis, studying their biological characteristics, improving pest management strategies in forestry, and developing necessary practical recommendations in this field.
