Abstract

This article presents the results of studies on the species composition, distribution, and harmfulness of the main pests of the medicinal plant Ferula assafoetida L. growing naturally in the Republic of Karakalpakstan. The taxonomic composition of pests and their damaging effects on plant organs such as roots, stems, leaves, and flowers were determined. Based on the obtained results, the importance of applying biological protection methods for medicinal plants was scientifically justified.
