Abstract

This article presents the results of a study on the biological and yecological characteristics of common reed — Phragmites australis — widely distributed in the conditions of Khorezm Region, as well as an analysis of its spread in wheat fields. The research revealed that common reed propagates rapidly through rhizomes and demonstrates a high level of adaptability to saline and moist soils. Furthermore, its distribution as a weed in agrocenoses and its negative impact on crop productivity are substantiated.
