Abstract

This study assesses water erosion processes in rainfed dark gray soils of the foothill zone of the Khojakent massif, Bostanliq district, Tashkent region. The analysis was conducted using remote sensing data, GIS technologies, and the RUSLE (Revised Universal Soil Loss Equation) model. By integrating the R, K, LS, C, and P factors, the average annual soil loss and spatial distribution of erosion risk were evaluated. The results indicate that areas with steep slopes and sparse vegetation cover are more prone to high erosion intensity. Based on the findings, erosion-prone areas were identified and recommendations for soil conservation and sustainable land management were proposed.
